July 30 - Aug 1

Some hot hot weather. Some low key days.... July 30 got up and after a breakfast of pancakes and sausage headed to Roots country flea market ..think of it as an Amish Quincy marketplace...great bakeries, fresh veggies and fruit, yummy food.  But by then we were all tired and hot. We headed back in the afternoon to the campground. Mom and Ed went to find an urgent care. Andy and Zack took a nap and Kathy worked on her bulletin board and puzzle. Dinner was chili dogs and cowboy beans. Ice cream treats for a cool down before bed  July 31 was even hotter. Zack took everyone out for a Chinese, Japanese, American buffet. So much food  so good highly recommend lu hibachi buffet in Hanover.  Mom and Ed went to camping world while Kathy, Andy and Zack headed back to the campground. Kathy and Andy dropped Zack off and headed to the Laundromat and to get some groceries. Dinner was various sandwiches and leftover cowboy beans, Mac and cheese and corn on the cob.  Besi...

Hot couple of days in Pennsylvania. After a breakfast of ham, Mac and cheese omelets, home fries and muffins, we hit the road. Destination Gettysburg. We traveled through Gettysburg with the audio tour. We were able to get and Sallie the dog's monument and found some interesting facts. We took a bunch of photos from the truck since it was over 94 and noone wanted to leave the ac. We headed back to the campground. Most people took some down time. Kathy worked on her bulletin board. Met some more of the farm animals. We had a great dinner of boneless BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, grilled veggies, Mac and cheese. Around the campfire we had pie and ice cream bars. On Monday, Kathy, Andy and Zack headed to Hanover to get a new fridge vent cover. Stopped at the grocery store and got more wood.  It was another hot hot day. After lunch they guys chilled out. Kathy worked diligently on her puzzle. Kathy went to do a load of laundry but unfortunately the washers were not working. Although...

Good morning! We started the day off with ham and cheese omelets and grilled muffins delivered by Kathy. After everyone got ready we headed out towards East Berlin. We made a stop at the butcher to purchase our dinner. I am glad to report that Zachary rode safely with fan even when we were in the store.  We next went to Utz factory outlet to get some great deals. Kathy and Andy went into Walmart to replace the hose that got lost in yesterday's fiasco. Then grandma and grandpa and Zack went to the grocery store while Kathy and Andy went to get a new trailer tire. We returned to the campground for egg salad sandwiches. Zack went back to the trailer to play a game. Andy did tick tock. Grandma and Grandpa watched Watcher in the Woods and Kathy worked on a puzzle. Finally we worked on our group dinner. Andy made the fire, Kathy made potatoes and pepper and onions, grandma made bacon wrapped asparagus and corn on the cob and Grandpa grilled up some delicious filet mignon. Next we p...

We are back!!!! We are on the road again. We left for Pennsylvania at 3. Our destination Timothy Lake South Campground. After a brief terrifying ride for fan....Zack changed vehicles for Grandma and Grandpa's truck.  We traveled successfully through country until the last few miles which lead us through some hair raising turns with no guardrails that had grandma on the edge of her seat. We set up the basic setting and had a dinner delivered by Kathy of BBQ chicken, baked potatoes and corn on the cob. We all headed to bed early to get up in the morning But during the night Kathy heard the cat murder going on outside....not sure if it was 2 cats fighting or if something hunted down the cat....ugh In the morning Kathy delivered muffins and cheese sticks for breakfast and we headed out at 8 for Gettysburg Unfortunately the ride was not uneventful for Kathy and Andy. As we were driving down the highway a truck pulled up and motioned to the back of our trailers. Unfortunately the b...
